This is a shawl that I knitted a few months ago. I tuck it in my purse and whip it out when there is a chill in the air or room. It's just one big ol' square. Nothing special.
It's almost cobweb like and I was afraid to block it because I am not familiar with the yarn. I did pull on the ends though to make semi-points. It kind of worked.
Pattern - None
Yarn - Rowan Kidsilk Night in Black - Approximately 3.5 skeins (almost 800 yards)
Needles - US10 (for some really fast knitting)
Positives - Fast, Quick and Easy !
Negatives - None that I can think of
Have a Good Day/Week All !

It's beautiful as is. I've blocked kid-silk haze before, with great success. It's stronger than it looks.
Thanks ! I'll remember that !
That shawl is so dainty & airy and would be afraid to wear it...
Hi Carolyn, I've been gone for a while but have you in my thoughts. This is a lovely shawl for cool mornings!
Lovely shawl. Maybe you could steem it under a wet towl and with a iron??? That is what I do...I rearly block....
Happy easter
Thanks Beate ! I don't block that much either.
Such a nice shawl to pull out when you need a little warmth. Perfect for the chill you get from blasting AC in the summer! enjoy :)
If that's your nothing special you are offically never allowed near my home ! Beautiful!
I love Kidsilk, and your shawl in black is very dramatic and beautiful. I made a stole out of similar yarn, but haven't worn it because I can't decide if Im going to keep it or give it away as a gift!
