Two Really Good Things !!!

Really Good Thing ONE

I Won a Contest !!!

Carrie of Knitfiber or Daisymum (Rav name) held a contest a little while ago on her blog and awarded a few of her cute little handmade wallets as prizes. Carrie allowed the winners to choose their pattern combinations. I received my wallet in the mail the other day and I love it ! It’s perfect for credit card sized items.

It's the Perfect Size to Slip Into an Itty Bitty Bag

Really Good Thing TWO

His name is Willie but most of the time I call him Sir or Sir Willie or Mr. Willie.

I don’t know whether you remember my Dreams of Springs post from last year where I lamented when my pal Kalina moved out of the US. That was a sad time for me because though she was married, she and I did things together up to four times a week. I have spoken about my challenges of connecting with people in this town. I won't say that it's because I am a northerner but, something is definately amiss, compatibility being one of the things. The few friends or associates that I have are like myself, they are NOT from this town.

Almost two months ago I met this very sweet person. He is adventurous and open minded (like me)! We go out for coffee and eat out a lot (a few times a week or more). I feel very blessed to have met him and he says the same about me. We have declared to each other that we are good and trusted friends. Sigh ! By the way, he is becoming a family friend also. My daughter adores him.

Mr. Willie was born in Georgia but lived in New York (Brooklyn baby) for over 40 years. So, he’s kind of an out of towner. He’s now retired and moved back to his birth state.

These days I am happier and this is very important to a knitter.

Formula for the Day

Most times Happiness=Less but Good Knitting !!!

Good for you!! Friends are so hard to find.

So glad you found a good friend in Willie. It's difficult to make friends in a new area. Native Vermonters are not especially friendly whereas my home State of Maine is much more so and accepting of newcomers.
