Yarn On The Cheap

No WIPs today.  None that I want to show anyway but I do have yarn to show.  One gifted and a couple that I picked up at Joann Fabrics.

For years I've kept telling myself that I am just going to stop-it with the acrylic yarns or the acrylic blends but I haven't been able to and the reality is, I don't know if I really want to stop.  Some of them are sooo pretty.  Can't I just love and have them all ?  LOL !

This box was a gift from a fellow knitter.  She's in a knitting group I belong to.  It's Bernat Berella 4 in Cream at 195 yards at 12 skeins.  Yes.  A glorious 2340 yards of worsted weight.  We're talking a really nice cabled cardigan/sweater or a nice sized afghan.  I couldn't find a link to the Berella 4.  I'm sure it's discontinued.  LUV IT !!!

Here is Bernat Roving which is a wool/acrylic and very nice.  I have 12 skeins which total 1,440 yards of bulky yarn.  The color is Lichen #14 (green) and it's already designated for a bulky cardigan for my Mom.  I love this yarn !

Last of all is my Martha Stewart Crafts in the 'Extra Soft Wool Blend' yarn.  This color looks a bit minty but it's the Grey Pearl.  It's aran weight and a wool/acrylic blend.  So far I have only four skeins totaling 825 yards.  It's very, very, very soft.  I have no idea what I'm going to do with it and yes.  I luv it !

So.  There's my added stash for this week. Talk to You soon !

Enjoy Your Day !

I'm in the process of getting rid of a lot of my acrylic yarns (blog post coming soon) - but some I still plan to keep. I can't stand the real cheap, coarse stuff, but as you said some are downright beautiful, soft to touch, etc. Why should we pass them up?!

Very nice and I knit with acrylics all the time.
