A People Hat

Hey Everyone !  I've been busy as usual but am eking out a bit of knitting here and there.

I found this pattern a couple of weeks ago on Ravelry of course.  It's called the Friendship Hat (Rav link) by Deann Wilson and it's a quick easy-peasy.  My version is different from hers.  She uses a different color for each person and has them holding hands like in a circle.  I put extra space between each graph and used a striping yarn.  Deann had a color wheel at the top of the hat.  I changed it to big stripes.  I just did my thing.  I didn't want a whimsical hat.  I was going for a more rugged, earthy look.  I think I got it !

I have named my hat Brown People

The yarns used were Fisherman's wool in natural and Noro Kureyon in earth tones colorway #149.  I used size 6 needle.

Here is Deann's original hat

Anyway, take care.  I hope to talk with you a little more next post.

Great hat, and I like yours much better than the original although hers is cute too. Earthy tones and just more cozy!

Too cute! Reminds me of paper men we used to cut out of newspaper when we were kids. I like the stripes at the top too.

Nice hats Carolyn. Time for wearing them here at least ;) I nominated you for something fun- if you have the time.
