It's A Mystery To Me !

Okay, this is just between You and I.

It's Thursday and close to 7pm and I'm elated, excited and a bit confused but I'm holding it together. You see, tomorrow morning my new sofa, chair and bar stools are due. - I'm all jumpy inside, I feel like a kid. Sure, sure, I've had new furniture before but there is something about this sofa and chair that excites and confuses me at the same time.

Since my children were young I've always bought living room furniture that was some type of blue. It was always soothing and easy on the eye. I have always had furniture that was hardly noticed, you know, it was pretty but didn't stand out.

As soon as I saw this sofa in the furniture store I knew I had to have it. I told my salesperson that I would think about it and would come back in a month or so (which I did). What's funny to me is that my mind was made up in a snap. Yet a little voice in my head kept asking me how could you? You know you hate that color.

Well I did get it and I love it.

I purposely did not bring my good pal Richard or my daughter or Mr. Willie in to the store to see my sofa because I thought there was a possibility that one of them would disapprove. I can see Richard's face frowning up and Mr. Willie I'm sure would have said; "Aw Baby, don't you want to look at some other colors ? Get a color like my new sofa, I'll pay the extra."

No, no. I wanted no part of that.

About the confusion. I 've purchased furniture that is in my least favorite color family. How could I fall in love with a sofa that is in a color that I've almost hated all my life ?

Beats me !

I'm not going to tell you the color. I will post a photo tomorrow I hope.

P.S. Though the sofa pictured above is a very lovely sofa, it is nothing like mine.

whew! I wasn't gonna ask, "What were you thinking?!" But it is kinda cute for a conversation piece. In a den... maybe.
I can't wait to see your real sofa.

Thank you for clearing that up. I was wondering if you were crazy or just had money to burn. TFS
