Awards and Fair Isle

I am happy to say that this past week for me has been very productive. My Yoke Pullover has come right along. All of the fair isle is completed and was done within two days. Had I not done anything outside of the house; I could have had it done in a day. There are only 40 rows or so of fair isle so it was not so much a daunting amount of fair isle. I am very happy with what I see. The brown does not seem so brown any longer. It looks almost as peppy as the other colors. To think, I did all of that whining over the color brown. Silly me.

I have to put the picot edging around the neck, graph and sew up the underarms, block it and I'm all done. I feel confident in saying that I will have my sweater posted as an FO by the end of the week !

Awards !

I recently received two awards. I was awarded the Box of Chocolates award from CiCi and Cajtalk. Thank you again CiCi and Cajtalk for all of your sweetness and for thinking about me.

Another knitter Pam says:

“In my best southern accent, I would like to say that I have been thinking about a new award and what I would like it to say. People are like Forrest Gump said ” Life is like a box of chocolates and you never know what you’re gonna get.
You can see this box of chocolates is filled with different and unique candies and just like the chocolates we are all different and unique people. We are the same in that we all have common ingredients that make us more a like than not. Except for the frosting, which represents our personalities, we are indeed very similar on the inside.”

Here are the rules for the Box of Chocolate Award.

1. That you must pass this award to others.
2. Link back to me when you have passed them forward.

3. Write a nice post about this award.

4. You must read this award with a southern accent. I call it southern day where we all have to speak with a southern accent. I know that will be hard for some of you, but for the rest of us, we will be fine. So now, ya’ll just enjoy this little ol’ award and have fun with it.

5. And of course let your folks know that they have a nice award waiting for them.

Who gets a Box of Chocolates ?

Alicia at Frosty Knits

Lupie at Knitting With My Mother's Hands

Gale at Gale and The Scale

Deb at Hakucho

and of course, McVal !

My second award came from McVal (she has a very funny blog called Sew Not My Day about her day to day life mingled with crafts and cooking).

Thank you McVal for nominating me ! Much appreciated !

This award asks that I reveal seven things about myself that you may not know and to nominate seven people.

For those of you that read my blog; have you ever noticed that I chat and sometimes talk a lot without revealing too many personal things. This is just how I operate. I have carefully thought out the seven things I am to divulge. So, here they are...

Seven Things You May or May Not Want to Know About Carolyn...

1. I have been known to purchase no less than two 12 packs of brown rice spicy sushi and devour them in a day.
2. I love hearing coins drop into jars and then I enjoy hearing coins falling onto other coins.
2a. I love taking a purse full of coins to the market and dropping them into the CoinStar machine.

3.My business cell phone ring is Gimme The Light by Sean Paul.

4. The ring tone for a couple of my family members sounds like chickens clucking.

5.It upsets me that my mother and daughter have equal taste buds. They cannot decipher a gourmet coffee from a lesser brand. It all tastes the same to them.

6. I wait patiently every fall for Starbucks Pumpkin beverages and for Zingerman's Cranberry Walnut pie.

7. When I am angry at my man, I attach the "Who Let the Dogs Out" song as his ringtone (okay, even you have to admit; my number 7 is pretty personal).

That was fun. I am awarding this Kreativ Blogger award to;

Alicia at Frosty Knits

Sheila at Sheilaz CTK

Deb at Hakucho

Eryka at Spare Room Knits

and Beate at Cloudberry Knits !

Enjoy All !!!
