My Giacomo
For over a year now I've had plans to knit up this cute little bugger called Giacomo's Baby Hat by Whitney Van Nes of Purl Bee . Whitney has a very cute blog as I'm sure most of you know. It's upbeat and a day brightener.
I adore this pattern and had a lot of fun working it. I cast on and completed it in less than a day. I had a goal to take a break from hats for a while but while cruising Ravelry the other day, I saw a Giacomo on someone's project page and then I had to make it. I've used a hodgepodge of yarns. The green is Cascade 220, the beige is Lorna's Laces Fishermans Wool, the blue, green and black are Kureyon.
Other Knitting...
I've begun a lace scarf out of Kueyon Sock.
Many people complain a lot about this yarn being wiry and not soft. It's true, Sock is all of these things but I really like it.
This is actually the third project I've tried with this yarn. I'll tell you that sad tale in another post. Believe me, it's not the yarn, it's me.
