I completed my Baby Poonam a few days ago. I was pleased while working the pattern and am very happy with the way it turned out.
I love the look of the seed stitch on this yarn.
I should have included a picture of the back of the sweater to show how nicely the seed stitches show.
This is Bernat Softee in Bongo Blue on needles #4 and #6 made for size 9 months .
This sweater is for my newest cousin named Titus. His proud parents are Freddie and Sara and this is their fourth child. I know they don't have a lot of time to drip dry the kids clothes so, a wash and dry made the best sense.
Very Little Drama
As I mentioned before, this pattern was a pleasure to work with. I found no mistakes, there were no question marks over my head.
The only drama involved was my own, with the button choice. I am in a town with very few craft stores, no fabric boutiques. Button and zipper choices are limited. Joann's and Hancocks had very little to chose from. I found some really beautiful shell buttons but, they were the wrong color. I have no idea why I didn't compare the buttons to the swatch I had in my purse. -- As it turned out I had to purchase buttons from good old Walmart. Oh well, at least they match.
Only three to chose From...
A button less Poonam...
I also completed my other baby sweater. There is no real pattern for this one, no name. I based this pattern on another pattern I saw a few years ago. I've made it several times and there are no real directions. The variables are a bit different each time I make it.
My Next Project...
who knows.

Very, very nice. Poonam looks like a superb little pattern. I really like the color you chose. As for the other sweater, maybe next time you will jot the directions down as you go then e-mail it over to me. It's cute !

I just love that sweater! As I mentioned earlier, I am committed to increasing the use of cables in my work. I purchased a book on working with cables today. Of course it won't look nearly as good as your work, but I will of course try my best. I love your baby sweaters though. You do amazing work!
I needs to pass the baby blanket mojo on to someone else and start knitting sweaters. Those are really cute.

Oooo, me likes. I hate having to choose buttons. It just holds everything up, but the wrong choice can really take away from really beautiful piece.
