of days ago and have completed all knitting.
I shopped at Joann Fabrics and found this fabric whose raspberry matches perfectly with my yarn. It's not the best print but, it's okay, as long as it matches.
I chose this nice button which picks up the ivory in the yarn as well as the ivory in the fabric.
I have also finished the handle for the purse. I grafted the long edge together then pressed the grafted side lightly. The handle will turn, but the beauty of this handle is that when it turns, only the scallop from the cables will show.
I may be including this in my holiday gifts. I have a teenage cousin that went ga-ga over the color when she visited last weekend. I think I'll surprise her.

Perfect match! Can't wait to see your bag finished :)
Hey, cool color! Did you have to shut yourself in a quiet room for the grafting? I have to talk to myself in order to do it (...through the front as if to purl, through the back as if to knit...) so it's always best if I'm by myself so no one calls the authorities.
That colour is so pretty. I too am looking forward to the finished work.
Aww, that'll be a nice surprise! I love that bright color...it's so cheery.
You have put everything together in a wonderful way.
What a beautiful raspberry and the fabric matches perfectly. What exactly is the grafting method you used to make your handles.
looks good- nice handle.
