An Ugly Stitch...

Two days ago I started on the Baby Poonam by Berroco.

I completed the back and 1/4 of the front and then took all of it apart. You see, I really didn't care for the "textured pattern" they were using. I love the cables and all but, that pattern in my opinion is just UG--. I shouldn't say ugly, I'll just say it wasn't to my liking.

I didn't mind taking it apart. It's a quick little baby sweater, I'll survive. I haven't decided whether to do a straight stitch, more cables or another textured stitch.

Other Knitting...

I saw this cable combination in "The Yarn Girls' Guide to Knits for all Seasons...". This was applied to a cute little purse which I've added to my TO KNIT list. The purse is number 1,000,001. Anyway, I thought the combination would make a nice scarf so I minimized it a bit. Now I'm thinking of a smaller version of the purse. We'll see.

I'm a little excited as I've never had a raspberry scarf or purse.

sometimes its not right, right? I often find that the yarn plays a big part in getting the pattern right. The scarf will be great. Love the color.
