No Camera, No Pictures

A few months ago I was visiting friends and while I re-plated in the kitchen, someone (the host's relative) walked away with my camera. This was a very upsetting incident for all involved. How embarrassing would that be for a relative to steal from a guest !!!

At the time I was not outwardly panicked, I was calmer than Mr. & Mrs. Host and the other guests. I have to confess though, once I got home and laid down, I did have a cry. I have not had anything taken from me in years and years.

The hosts promised to replace my camera right after and the next day and the next day. We've had to negotiate here and there but guess what ! It's been almost 2.5 or so months and Carolyn still has NO camera. This situation for me would be simple. JUST REPLACE THE CAMERA.

As anyone can imagine, this incident has left a bad taste in my mouth. So, I have decided to just purchase another camera and if Mr. & Mrs. Host replace the stolen one, that's good and if they don't they don't.

So sad about your camera. I like the art links on your blog.

Oh no! I'm so sorry that happened to you. And on top of it all, empty promises : (

God is good hon and he doesn't like ugly.

That really hurts...can't believe anyone would do that! I would be lost without my camera.

Reminds me of the time my eldest son,( in church mind you) had his gameboy stolen from him. He had no business taking it to church, but the thief left him a few tootsie roll pops in return. We never found out who did it, and he never did get that gameboy replaced. He was lucky though recently to win a Nintendo DS at a design competition. Kind of made things all better, even though many many years have gone by. You definitely need some good to come you way....you are more than due!!

hugs :)

That's terrible. I do empathize with you. I had my camera and ipod stolen from a hotel room and the hotel refused to replace my stolen items. Yeah, it sucks. Sorry this happened to you. It's worse when it happens at a friend's house.

That is really sad, especially since they know who their sticky-fingered thief is.

That's not cool. However, your attitude is amazing. So sorry you have to deal with this...

Since they know who it is hey should make sure the person pays or pay themselves. I would feel so bad and responsible if something like that happened at my house.

Terrible, all around. How can someone visit a home and then steal? Just horrible.
