A So-So WIP Wednesday

Hello All !

Nothing much going on in my WIP world here these days.  I started on this afghan square called the January Teapot Square (Rav Link) by Betty and Jack a while ago.  I was feeling very ambitious and in the mood to at least begin an afghan.  I think the pattern popped up mid-January which led me to think that the designer would be slow about releasing a February square.  I sent Rav messages to the author and sure enough she says her computer is giving her problems and she will let me know when the February square pattern will be released.  Today is February 19th.  No pattern yet.  Hmmmmm...

It's a beautiful square but I want to do a one-piece afghan or squares belonging to one pattern/designer.  I'll give it another couple of weeks or so.  If nothing happens then I'm on to another pattern.

Here's a completed square by another Raveler.  See how nice.

In the mean time I'm still browsing sweaters and cardigans on Ravelry and my knitting magazines.  I'm determined to make myself a sweater this year.  I can do it... I can do it...  I can do it...

Hello!
That looks like a very nice pattern! I have a thing for cables, so anything with cabling looks wonderful to me :) And I like the color you chose! I just bought some yarn in a similar color. Hope you are able to get the next pattern!

Speaking of cables, I am having a Giveaway on my blog and the prize is one of my cabled knit slouchy hats! If you want to pop over and join, I would love to hear from you! :)

If the first square is any indication of what the blanket will look like, it's going to be a beauty. Reminds me of the cable knit blanket from the book, Cable Untangled. Love the color. :-)

That is gorgeous! hope she has the Feb. square out soon. Have you seen Rosamund's Cardigan. I really want to make it, but have not yet jumped in.

The Knitter's Aran Afghan book has some lovely squares in it. A friend did one of the squares, https://sites.google.com/site/ailurophyle/greatamericanaranafghan scroll down to see all the squares. The one you have done is lovely.

Beautiful cable work! I love the seed stitch on the side.
I've seen the beautiful shawls you knit too. If you can do these, you certainly can knit a sweater!

Ooo. The first square is really beautiful. Hopefully the next square released will be worth the wait!
