A Good Weekend

All was well in the northeast part of Georgia this past weekend. The Atlanta news predicted and promised beautiful weather for us and they were right! We hit the mid-70s, sunny but not humid. Beautiful.

I was outside at around 8 am with my Multnomah on Sunday. I love the morning sun. It always reminds me of being on vacation. Of stepping out on a balcony and marveling at how different the mornings can be away from home. It doesn't matter whether it's a vacation in the mountains, off of the Mediterranean, Pacific or Atlantic. Beautiful mornings always remind me of being on vacation. This Sunday felt like a wonderful vacation.

For sure I will be making another Multnomah but larger the next time around. Question is whether I will lengthen the garter portion or the feather and fan portion.

If I were going to wear this, the above photo is how I would wear it. Not so much as a shawlette.

This is not the best photo but it shows the true colors. Now I see why they named this colorway Butter Pecan.

Pattern: Multnomah
Yarn: Claudia Hand Painted Yarns Fingering
Colorway: Butter Pecan
Yardage: 525 Yards
Needle: US 5
One Thing: I really need to work on my blocking. I don't have much patience in that area.

Enjoy Your Week !!!

I like your shawlette! It looks so sunny!
If I'll knit it bigger, I would lengthen both lace and garter portion.
Cheers!

It is lovely and very spring like. I agree, I would make both portions larger.

Beautiful shawlette! In the one picture it reminds me of a butterfly.

Very pretty, but then what's not to love about something called Butter Pecan? I wear my shawlettes the same way, btw. Seems much more "French" or something.

Butter pecan. Mmm. I love pecans! Really lovely photos of the shawl, they show it off perfectly. I think I would make both portions larger if I were to size it up, as I like the proportions of the size you made. Looks like you had a really nice spring day, there. Send some our way, will you? ;)
