Mom's Simple Yet Effective Holiday Gift...

That's what I named it on Ravelry anyway.

Now this isn't what I would call a good photo but somehow, I like it. I just couldn't get it right. Also, I was in such a hurry to get this thing mailed off.

I am happy with the completed project. If you remember, I used the Patons Lace which is 100% acrylic. I know I shouldn't have but I couldn't walk away from it. It really is pretty.

I've knitted a stingray

One of my friends asked me if I would knit with this yarn again. I probably would, especially if I am knitting for someone that uses the washing machine only to clean items. It's very soft to knit with also. Even after I soaked it, the shawl acted as if it were a wool or natural fibre. I was able to block it and the edges curled just a little here and there. Otherwise, it worked out fine.

I shouldn't say this but do you realize that tomorrow makes seven/one week away from the big one (Christmas) !!!

Talk to you soon.

I really like this and was thinking it looked like a stingray before I saw the name. And the yarn colorway is wonderful, too.
