On The Road With My Gathered

Recently, I had to make a few road trips to Atlanta, Florida and Alabama. Some were business, some pleasure. All of these trips were a welcomed surprise seeing as I've been dying to do some no, any type of travel out and away from this little town that I reside in.
Luckily I did very little driving. My coworker just purchased a very big, very nice SUV and does not want anyone sitting behind the drivers wheel but herself. She has not even let her husband drive. This sat well with me because I'm squeamish about driving other people's cars anyway. So, I got to chat and knit.
Knowing I would not be able to cable, chat and see the road, I left the Tempo Vest at home and decided to finish up my Gathered scarf. I am very happy with the way the striping turned out. Now I have to decide whether this is going to be a holiday gift for someone or another knitted gift for me.
This first picture is nice but the headless photo below shows a better depiction of the colors.

Normally I would have/should have had the Tempo completed. I was about three pattern repeats in and it felt like I was knitting a sweater so I put it down. I needed a non-sweater project after the Yoke Pullover.

Oh my! your scarf is absolutely beautiful - love the colors! I know what you mean about "give as a present or keep for me?" I have that problem, too :)

It's nice to get out of town every now and then. Great work on the scarf. Keep it for yourself!

I started this scarf and it sits in my knitting basket about 1/4 done. I don't like making scarves because if the sameness of is.
Yours is so beautiful it makes me want to start it up again.

I'm always happy to let someone else drive so good for you and getting some knitting in. Those colors are lovely.
