Valentine's Day

I really enjoyed making this pincushion.   When I began the heart I had no idea what shape cushion I was going for.  After the heart's completion I was just about to cut a long string off and my mind clicked "A Valentine balloon"!  I have a few pink pastel scraps and lighter softer colors of red but when I think of love and relationships I feel the darker tones are more appropriate.  This is my take on it. This pincushion is not for show.  It will definitely be used.  There is something about the way the batting is stuffed that makes it a pleasure to hold and pin.  I've put my trusty tomato pincushion away for now.

The yarn is Noro Silk Garden done on U.S. 3s.  I don't remember the colorsway.

Looking at these photos I am reminded that I must purchase a nice camera this year so I can be happy with the photos I take.

Have a Great Day !
