Not much crafting has gone on for the past few days. Saturday I went through my Ravelry queue to look at cardigan and sweater patterns and to purchase a few. The goal is to make at least one sweater this year. I never swatch for smaller items but this I needed to swatch for. I'm not sure which pattern yet but I have chosen the yarns. It's a good thing I swatched the Elsebeth lavold silky wool because I would need to either go up two needle sizes or to make a larger size with adjustments because of my tight knitting. The Rowan wool would only need an upsize in needle. Sometimes swatching feels like a waste of time but it paid off especially with the Silky Wool.

What ate up most of my weekend...
Borrowed from a friend who was gracious enough to let me read it before her. This book is Fire🔥🔥🔥!!! It was released this March 10, 2019. Many of my Goodread friends were talking about it and waiting for it' realease. I was going to preorder it but after reading Mr. Swanson' s review from his last book (which wasn't that good) I was going to pass. So without guilt I put my Al Roker down for a bit and picked up Mr. Swanson. The story drew me in and I couldn't stop reading. It had me hook, line and sinker. Sure it's only about 350 pages but I haven't finished a book in three days in decades. Not since my 30s or 40s have I done this. Getting back to the old me !
Happy Knitting, Reading and Crafting to You!
Carry on !

ReplyDeleteThank You Dee. I agree.
ReplyDeleteLove the silky wool and the way it drapes :) I started a sweater and I bet it's going to take a while to get it finished when the weather gets warmer.
